Below are some of the shoe care tips for longer durability.

• DO NOT suffocate your shoes

  No matter how good the shoes look it is not a good idea to put on them every day. Invest in a second pair and give each a chance to breathe. This reduced exposure ensures longevity.

• RESTRICT leather shoes in wet weather

  Leather might be the strongest shoe material but it is apt to say that water is its kryptonite. Wet leather is always prone to wear and tear effects. If you have no choice, buy weatherproofing sprays or pastes to protect the leather.

• WAIT till it dries

  As already said, leather is weakest when it is wet. Using wet leather leads to tearing and seeping of partitions held together by adhesives or even seaming.

• CLEAN before you polish

  Shoe polish has a sealant effect. Applying polish over dirt, mud or water makes them remain in longer contact with the leather making them to exert their damaging effects. So always wipe it off when your day ends.

• DO use the right shade of polish

  This is to ensure the aesthetic value of your leather shoes. It also protects the leather from unwanted dying, weakening and damage the shoes over time.
